Overall
  • The beach surrounds the wave pool, and is a good place to make "camp" for the day.
  • had a great time.
  • In true Disney style the place is immaculate and well run.
  • My wife said she could spend a week just lying on the beautiful beaches, soaking up the sun....There is a lovely water-play park for the children and water slides to accommodate all standards of bravery!
  • Typhoon Lagoon is the classic Disney waterpark.
  • There is a shady sitting place at the end of the slide where you can watch them come out.
  • If you like water, you'll like this place.
  • The tubes can get a bit congested on busy days but it is quite a relaxing experience travelling along and through caves.
Value
  • Parking is free.
  • Typhoon Lagoon is ok for a couple of hours, but not really worth the price of admission.
  • The prices seemed reasonable to me.
  • You get fins, a snorkel, and wet suit provided free of charge before a short snorkelling lesson.
  • They also have a pretty good deal with getting something to drink....I thought this was a great deal for someone who was planning on spending the entire day here....Parking is free and all of the Disney World hotel buses come here too.
Service
  • although the staff was very quick to offer assistance it still leaked.
Facilities
  • Shopping is limited, and is mostly up front....Parking is free.
  • As you enter the park you pass through the handy collection of shops providing all those surf-themed Disney souvenirs.
  • There are several single-rider raft slides and one family raft slide....There are lockers and towels available for rent and NO fee to park.
  • The newest slide is Crush N' Gusher.
  • Typhoon Lagoon is themed as a beautiful tropical resort....It is a water-filled playground of slides, fountains, jets and squirting playthings....There are plenty of thrill slides in this park too....Humunga Kowabunga is the fastest, steepest and most thrilling slide.
  • There are some brilliant little slides and a pool for children that will keep them happy for hours....There are several other slides and flumes but they are all located around the huge surf pool.
  • There are plenty of snack bars located around the park
  • Picturesque snack bars and drinks stations are dotted around.
Atmosphere
  • We easily found sunloungers in a lovely shady area at Sharks Reef....Ketchadiddee Creek is a wonderful area for young children.
Activities/Exhibits
  • Strong swimming skills are a must.
  • As you enter the park you pass through the handy collection of shops providing all those surf-themed Disney souvenirs.
  • there is a much better selection for children at the Leaning Palms.
  • The main pool is lovely, with waves gently breaking the shore most of the time
  • There is a really good mix of activities here for all ages....My favourite thing to do here is the surf pool, where waves up to 6 feet high make it great fun to splash around.
  • There are plenty of moderate rides, some that are a little faster than others;
  • The wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon is no ordinary wave pool;
  • There is a beautiful mountain trail which is well worth exploring.
  • The wave pool has a rough surface which makes lounging about the pool a little painful...there is enough to keep all adventure levels entertained and happy, from small wading pools, to wave parks and crazy rides, to shark reef (where you swim in a reef with real sharks).
  • The problem with these rides is the long walk up to the top of the hill in the hot Florida sunshine.
Views
  • There's also (for extra fee) a salt-water snorkeling/SNUBA attraction that boasts a real shark in the tank.
  • Mayday Falls is the best of these (TIP: get your feet up on the tyre -- it improves the ride considerably)....The family raft ride, Gangplank Falls, is a real disappointment, particularly
  • There is also a warm lagoon
  • The main pool is lovely, with waves gently breaking the shore most of the time
  • If you like to sit back and relax your day away, try the lazy river.
  • My favourite thing to do here is the surf pool, where waves up to 6 feet high make it great fun to splash around....If you love fish, then try out shark-reef snorkeling pool.
  • Typhoon Lagoon was a lot of fun....and a long lazy river...propels you along slowly along their lazy river.
  • Typhoon Lagoon is the classic Disney waterpark....There is a lazy river
  • Castaway Creek is this park's lazy river.
  • Typhoon Lagoon is a day's worth of wet and lazy or crazy fun.
