Description:Located near Olympic Park, Montreal's huge botanical garden contains over 20,000 different plant species in 31 specialized gardens, including the largest Chinese Garden outside Asia and a Japanese Garden with a tearoom and fabulous bonsai collection. The Insectarium hosts an "Insect Tasting" in November and December.

  • We headed to the insectarium where we were advised that admission is free upon paying to enter the botanical gardens.
  • the lawns are well manicured throughout so further away from the entrance is a great place for a more private picnic.

  • Seeing the spectacular lights give life to the many wonderful colours of the laterns and other masterpieces from China was an unforgetable experience.

  • Let me tell you, the tram is amazing.
  • We walked through the collections of dead bugs pinned to display cases...Honestly the size of the collection on display here is not truly impressive at least for adults

  • Though we didn't tour the entire grounds, our favorite display was the Chinese garden....Plant life is the third element that is captured at every turn of your head in this gorgeous display.
