Overall
  • Given the layout, it's hard to imagine that anyone would have a pleasant experience once they got in.
  • The biodome is a great place to go for all ages....There are so many great attractions at this zoo, not only animals but plants galore.
  • Unbelievable!...ItÂ's truly a unique experience.
  • Cool place!
  • Cool!...It's right by the Olympic stadium.
  • Found the place to be a substandard zoo.
  • very nice ....it was expensive but worth it
  • wow
  • This place is great to take the kids
  • so cute!
  • most crucially -
Value
  • The kids there seemed to be enjoying it.
  • My ticket cost $24 but that included entrance to the Olympic Tower, botantical garden, insectarium and the dome.
  • By purchasing the combo ticket (C$27 for an adult ticket), we saved ourselves a great deal of money.
  • it was expensive but worth it
Facilities
  • My ticket cost $24 but that included entrance to the Olympic Tower, botantical garden, insectarium and the dome.
  • The next room is very cool.
  • A cafeteria is available on-site.
Atmosphere
  • The last area, representing the Polar Regions, is much smaller.
  • Exotic birds fly around while you explore what is hidden in the rivers and caves of the tropical area from the safety of the walkways.
  • Now head over to the Laurentian Forest, where you will find a beaver in his own natural environment.
  • The artic area was very small and the other areas were not very impressive.
  • It was a lot of fun watching the animals in an area close to their natural environment.
  • This type of architecture needs young crowds and sunny skies to make it appealing (or at least bearable).
Activities/Exhibits
  • The upside to the Biodome was the penguin exhibit -
  • The Biodome is a museum of natural science with a living collection of ecosystems.
  • The marine ecosystem was also pretty good, with a selection of many fish (including huge sturgeon) in a large aquarium.
Views
  • We did see some beautiful animals -
  • If you are fascinated by animals then this is the place for you.
  • Exotic birds fly around while you explore what is hidden in the rivers and caves of the tropical area from the safety of the walkways....While you're there, take the elevator ride to the top of the Olympic Stadium for a spectacular view of Montreal.
  • The birds are pretty crazy....Beware of the crazy monkeys.
  • As I would not be able to view the real forest, I was going to have to settle for an indoor approximation!
  • You can feel the humidity of a real rainforest as you enter....At any moment, you can see animals walking around in this amazing habitat:...In a separate area, you can also see hundreds of bats flying around and other interesting rain forest creatures....We snapped a couple of photos of these beautiful creatures as they paced back and forth.
  • It was a lot of fun watching the animals in an area close to their natural environment.
  • also learn at the same time and of course the animals are awesome
  • fishes, turtles, penguins, etc.) I loved those penguins too!...You can also see a great view of Olympic Stadium during the ride up the elevator.
  • Biodome is a unique combination of indoor zoo and a greenhouse, filling the space with flora and fauna typical for different ecosystems....The marine ecosystem was also pretty good, with a selection of many fish (including huge sturgeon) in a large aquarium.
