  • offers a number of worthwhile attractions.
  • It is a must-see for any visitor, for Vancouver's reputation as a beautiful city is linked with this gorgeous park....For those of you after more strenous pursuits, there is a rowing club as well.
  • Just about 10 minutes from the business district it is on of the favourite recreation places of locals.
  • Every town should have a retreat as wonderful as Stanley Park.

  • Over on the western peninsula of Vancouver lies the world-famous Stanley Park , the largest of its kind in North America.
  • This is the most amazing city park I've ever been to!

  • I’ve been to Vancouver twice now and both times this park features as the highlight of my trip....The park offers everything from the fabulous aquarium to bike rides, jogging tracks, rollerblading and lovely beaches.
  • This is a great city park as it’s so large
  • It also contains many of Vancouver’s most famous tourist attractions, such as the Totem Poles and the Vancouver Aquarium.

  • The lady driver, Mary, was a New Zealander with a very pleasant personality
  • The eateries in the park were great friendly staff great food and prices.
Facilities
  • The popular six mile Seawall Walk bike path is fairly flat as it hugs the peninsula's shoreline.
  • if you prefer, take a seat by the ocean on the many beaches you'll find in the park.
  • I recommend taking a bus into the park and exploring on foot.
  • there is even a free shuttle bus that operates daily.
  • we decided it would be best to shuttle around to see what the park was like before walking.
  • If this is your first time, I suggest taking the free shuttle
  • A leisurely cup of tea or lunch can be enjoyed at the Tea House Restaurant (see my journal entry on this restaurant), one of three full service restaurants within Stanley Park....Take a picnic lunch to leisurely enjoy the outdoors.
  • Mary highly recommended we go to Prospect Point, where there are great views and a good restaurant.
  • An Italian gelato ice cream off 4th Street in Kitsilano is the best way to end the day.

  • bike ride in Stanley Park will take you around various beaches, parks, and other scenic areas.
  • The atmosphere the location the jogging trails ,and walk ways ,very nice views.
  • The squirrels are friendly and the whole park a peaceful place.
Activities/Exhibits
  • There is a gorgeous view of the downtown Vancouver skyline across the bay complete with a stunning statue of an athletic runner.
  • It was divided perfectly into sections for bikers and walkers so as to minimize congestion.
  • Alternatively, well marked trails weave in and out of the park.
  • I recommend taking the Ravine trail to Beaver lake
  • The park offers everything from the fabulous aquarium to bike rides, jogging tracks, rollerblading and lovely beaches.
  • Stanley park is a beautiful gem in the middle of the city.
Views
  • This green forest skirts a seawall offering gorgeous views of the city skyline and the harbour.
  • To have a great view on the ocean and mountains surrounding Vancouver, take a walk around the park
  • The course follows the seawall and gives you spectacular scenery throughtout....The bayside view is ever changing, from the cool cityscape to the mountain ranges across the bay, you'll never be bored.
  • There is a gorgeous view of the downtown Vancouver skyline across the bay complete with a stunning statue of an athletic runner....If you go on a Sunday you might catch a game or two of Cricket taking place on the expansive grassy lawns.
  • If you are just wanting to relax in beautiful surroundings, Stanley Park is the place to go.
  • Gardeners will appreciate the beautiful lawns & flower gardens.
  • The cool breeze coming off the water was invigorating, and the views of the bay, North Vancouver...the surrounding mountains were, for lack of a better word, awesome.
  • My favorite part of the afternoon was the amazing views I was treated to as I biked around the perimeter of the park....I found myself stopping many times to appreciate the scenery.

  • From the lookout plaza there is a great view of the majestic Lions Gate Bridge, reminiscent of the Chain Bridge of Budapest....The elevation will also allow you to appreciate the tall trees, including sequoias.
  • ItÂ's all green, with beautiful white trees (I donÂ't know what they are, but they are really nice).
  • Beautiful scenery of the ocean and downtown Vancouver.
  • I still enjoyed the park in spite of the many fallen trees.
